My career has evolved over time. The latest shift has been from offering holistic housecalls to also focusing on palliative and end of life care. This is because I have had the sacred occasion to walk with many pet parents throughout this last phase of life with their pets. As both a veterinarian and a pet parent, who has faced this journey many times myself, I know how challenging and at times gut wrenching this passage can be. Sitting with families as they share their concerns, fears and grief is a blessing. Offering perspectives with compassion and no judgement allows families to come to empowered decisions with clarity and love. This creates a deep sense of peace that grounds them as they move through the unavoidable grief.
I built Wisdom Paws not as a clinical service, but as a sacred presence. I combine my training in veterinary medicine, Chinese veterinary acupuncture, human psychology, and hospice philosophy to offer families something the conventional veterinary system rarely provides: time, attention, compassion, and a framework for making extraordinarily difficult decisions with clarity and love. Through telehealth, I am able to be present with families anywhere in the country, meeting you exactly where you are.
My approach is holistic in the deepest sense of the word — I tend to the whole: the animal's body and comfort, the family's grief and confusion, and the profound bond that exists between them. Whether you are asking "Is it time?", seeking integrative pain management, planning for what lies ahead, or simply needing someone to hold space for your heartbreak — I am here, and I am honored to walk this path with you.
"End of life is not a medical failure. It is one of the most meaningful chapters of a life well-loved — and it deserves to be held with reverence."

Dr. Liz held our family with such grace during the most difficult week of our lives. She didn't just answer our questions — she helped us understand what our dog was truly experiencing, and gave us the language and courage to make the decision we needed to make.
